Many fans took notice that one member of the Weasley family was missing during the “Harry Potter” reunion special.

That would be matriarch Molly Weasley, played by Dame Julie Walters.

Walters announced that she had semi-retired from acting in late 2020.

She had been diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer.

Thankfully, her cancer has since gone into remission.

However, she believes that the cancer was caused by her acting.

“Acting caused it because of the way I approach it,” she said.

“It’s a stressful job, and I don’t sleep when I’m working,” she added. “It’s not good for me.”

Although she wasn’t there, Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) called her, “the perfect mother figure.”
