The ‘TODAY’ show is one co-host less due to COVID-19.

On Thursday, January 6, it was announced Hoda Kotb tested positive for COVID-19.

The latest variant, Omicron, is currently sweeping the world and wreaking havoc in those vaccinated, boosted and unvaccinated.

Kotb has been both vaccinated and boosted; however, she still wasn’t able to escape the wrath of COVID-19.

Her co-hosts, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Sheinelle Jones drew attention to her absence during Thursday’s telecast.

Melvin told viewers, “We should mention, before we get to the news, the reason Hoda is off like many others, she tested positive for COVID.”

“Hoda tells us she’s doing just fine and we look forward to having her back very very soon,” he continued.

Hoda gave fans an update on Twitter.

“Thx for well wishes! Feeling good.. ❤️ cant wait to see you all when I am in the clear! Xo,” she informed fans.
