Britney Spears‘ boyfriend Sam Asghari is tearing into the singer’s father and accusing him of trying to control their relationship.
Sam, who is usually quiet about Britney’s conservatorship, wrote on his Instagram story, Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.”
Britney’s man ended, “In my opinion, Jamie is a total dick. I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”
Britney and Sam have been dating since 2016. They met on the set of her music video for “Slumber Party.” They have been inseparable ever since and Sam is constantly by her side. They often jet-set around the globe together on a private jet. Fans have different opinions on Sam. Some feel he is a good partner for her while others feared he might be helping her team better control her.
It’s not surprising that Sam would speak out at this time. Britney has been receiving a ton of support from celebrities and the public after the FX documentary “Framing Britney Spears” premiered.
Sam’s critical statement of Jamie comes after he released a generic statement to People Magazine. He told the outlet, “I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves.”
Sam ended, “I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together.”
For her part, Britney reportedly hasn’t watched the documentary which called into question the conservatorship she is under. She had permission to watch the film but allegedly wasn’t interested. She is still making moves to have her father axed as the co-conservator of her estate.
In the doc, Many people who use to be apart of her inner circle spoke to producers. Her former longtime assistant Felicia said she didn’t think Britney should be under a court-ordered conservatorship. She pointed to all of the singer’s success as evidence that she was of sound mind.
