Britney Spears reportedly did not watch the bombshell FX documentary “Framing Britney Spears” which called into question the singer’s conservatorship.
Page Six broke the story, a source close to the singer told them, “As of Sunday, Britney hadn’t watched the documentary, but she’s aware of it. She had not seen any of it.”
The source said Britney had permission to watch the docuseries but she made the decision not to tune in. They added, “She’s chosen not to watch it because she’s fed up with the conservatorship. She feels there is a hole missing in her life because of the conservatorship and that she won’t be able to live a normal life until that’s over. She knows it’s a battle for her whole life.
As The Blast first reported, Britney is making moves to have her father removed as co-conservator of her estate. He has been making the majority of Britney’s life decisions for over a decade.
In November, Britney, through her attorney Samuel Ingham, told the court she wanted Jamie Spears out of her life. In court documents, Brit said she was afraid of her dad and was refusing to work until he was gone.
Her lawyer wrote. “She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career,” he said.
Britney has remained quiet since the documentary aired this weekend. Her boyfriend Sam Asghari released a generic statement to People Magazine about wanting to continue his life with the singer.
He said, “I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves.”
Sam ended, “I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together.”
After the documentary aired, Britney received a ton of support and calls for justice from celebrities. Sarah Jessica Parker tweet out a simple message, “#FreeBritney.” Miley spoke out during her Super Bowl pre-show performance. During her performance of “Party In The USA”, Miley said “We Love Britney,”
Earlier this week, country singer Kacey Musgraves tweet out her anger after watching the FX documentary. She said, “Y’all..it’s plaguing me that nobody knows if @britneyspears is truly okay. Really hoping that if she isn’t she can formally vocalize it in some way and that she knows all of us on the outside really give a shit about her well-being. ?.”
