Jamie Lynn Spears is celebrating what is one of the ‘happiest days’ of her life — the anniversary of her daughter’s devastating ATV crash which could have turned out to be the worst day ever.
Britney Spears’ sister marked the anniversary by sharing photos from inside of the hospital where her then 8-year-old little girl hung to life after crashing in an ATV into a lake and getting stuck underwater. Today marks the fourth anniversary of the scary incident, and Spears took the opportunity to thank the first responders who helped save her daughter’s life.

“Happiest day of my life. I may be wearing hospital socks, since I didn’t have shoes, and someone else’s clothes, but I was walking out of that hospital with way more than I had going in, I had a healthy baby girl, and nothing else mattered. We were given the ultimate gift, and we will NEVER take that for granted, especially knowing that this is not the case for so many others,” Jamie captioned the photos.
In her post, Jamie shared pictures of the day little Maddie was released from the hospital after she spent several minutes underwater unconscious — and fought for her life with the help of machines for the next several days.
But, Jamie also took the time to shame the media for capturing the moment the family emerged from the hospital after she recovered.
Take A Look!
“Yeah, it’s pretty f’d up that the media would have someone outside the hospital just waiting to get a glimpse into those awful days, but instead, they got these pictures of one of our happiest days,” she continued.
Adding, “Thank you to the amazing first responders, and to every single healthcare professional who worked with us… you are all heroes.”
