Earlier this week, “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards posted a selfie with Erika while the two were filming the Bravo show in San Diego. Erika didn’t look too concerned with anything even though her life is semi-falling apart at the moment.
Instead, Erika decided it was appropriate to throw on a $500 Burberry top with a DSquared2 jacket that looks to be worth around $500.
In the past couple of months, Erika has attempted to maintain the image that she lives this lavish lifestyle. She has refused to address the accusations she helped embezzle money from orphans.
The shocking allegation was included in a federal lawsuit filed against Erika and Thomas. In the suit, a bunch of Thomas’s former clients says he never paid out the entire settlement they won in the class-action lawsuit Erika’s husband brought on their behalf.
To make matters worse, the class-action was filed by the family members of plane crash victims. Thomas reportedly diverted the money meant for the orphans and widows and used it to live it up with Erika.
In the suit, the families say Erika knew or should have known what was going on with the money. One creditor believes Thomas sent Erika’s entertainment company $20 million in an attempt to hide assets from creditors.
Amid the financial drama, Erika filed for divorce from Thomas after 21 years of marriage. She claims to be unaware of the martial assets and debts. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is demanding the court award her spousal support. Thomas is fighting that request. It’s unclear if there is any money to even go around for Erika to be paid.
On top of the federal lawsuit, Thomas is facing numerous other legal battles over unpaid bills. His creditors recently forced him into involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy. A federal judge signed off on the case and appointed a trustee to manage all of Thomas’s finances. The trustee will now take control of the bank accounts and sell off any assets they determine to be valuable to the estate.
Erika has yet to respond to the bankruptcy or appear in court to answer to the embezzlement accusation.
She keeps on putting on a public show that everything is fine. As The Blast first reported, Erika moved out of the $16-million mansion she lived in with Thomas. She moved into a modest $1.5 million home near Hollywood. Thomas is about to be kicked out of the mega-mansion they shared.
