“The Real Housewives of Miami” is reportedly returning to television for a fourth season with a potentially new cast.
Although Bravo has remained mum when it comes to an official announcement regarding the comeback of the short-lived series, which aired for three seasons years ago, rumors are swirling in regard to the upcoming episodes of the show.
According to a report shared by Entertainment Tonight last week, “The Real Housewives of Miami is coming back and Bravo is already in the full swing of interviewing potential cast mates to hire.”
Andy Cohen First Mentioned Plans For A ‘RHOM’ Reboot In November 2020
During an appearance on the “Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino” podcast in November 2020, Andy Cohen, the creator of the “Real Housewives” franchise, confirmed he was in the process of convincing NBCUniversal’s streaming services, Peacock, to pick up “The Real Housewives of Miami” for a fourth season.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this. I don’t know where we are with that. I have to say the fans of Miami are still very vocal, and so I’ve been an advocate for Peacock bringing back Miami,” he explained.
‘RHOM’ Ratings Declined Before The End Of Season Three In 2013
According to Cohen, he believes that when it came to the end of “The Real Housewives of Miami” in 2013, the network likely felt forced to cancel the series due to the less-than-promising trajectory of the show’s ratings.
“The problem with the third season was that the ratings were declining as it went on and they went down for the reunion, which is usually the opposite of what happens,” he shared. “I think that went into the decision to not pick it up.”
Bravo Is In Talks With Numerous Women For Roles On ‘RHOM’ Season Four
A short time after Entertainment Tonight shared their report, a second report surfaced which suggested that the interview process for season four was already underway.
“They have started interviewing a bunch of different women,” an insider told Us Weekly on February 3 “They want to have a very diverse cast and are speaking to women from all different backgrounds.”
The source also said that a number of women have spoke to network executives “several times” as they get “very close to narrowing down a cast.”
Which ‘RHOM’ Cast Members Have Spoken About A Return?
Us Weekly went on to say that Marysol Patton, Lisa Hochstein, and Adriana de Moura have also weighed in on a potential return.
In April 2019, amid a “Real Housewives of Miami” marathon, Patton was asked if the show was returning to Bravo.
“You never know,” she teased.
Meanwhile, Hochstein told one of her own social media followers that a comeback was “very possible” and de Moura spoke of a possible fourth season as well, telling another person on Instagram that “if the stars would align” the cast would return.
