Ultra-flexible artistic gymnast Katelyn Ohasi needs to be seen to be believed. The 23-year-old six-time All-American and four-time USA Gymnastics’ Junior National Team member has been jumping aboard the latest viral trend, undergoing the “Buss It” challenge and doing it in the splits. Katelyn, followed by 1 million on Instagram, is fresh from turning her rubber-band of a body into impossible positions while going from casual to dressed-up, with the video causing a hoopla on the Seattle-born star’s Instagram. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. It comes as celebrities galore make headlines for their “Buss It” challenges, from rapper Iggy Azalea to fellow gymnast, 25-year-old McKayla Maroney. Katelyn, meanwhile, delivered hers with extra zest, choosing to make it both an undies showoff and a flexibility one.
The video, showing Katelyn at home, brought super easy-going vibes as the gymnast hung around in shorts and a tan hoodie while dancing barefoot for the first part of the challenge, but it was way racier as she turned dressed-up.
Ohasi, switching modes quickly, whipped her leg over into a perfect split, then made the most of the seemingly-comfortable position to ease herself into another direction – while still in the splits. Of course, the outfit had, by now, changed, with the star wearing leather pants, no shirt, and a sexy, sheer black bra. “Buss It” by Erica Banks was playing, with a little sampling switching to Nelly’s “Hot In Here,” if you can remember 2002.

Katelyn, viral with her UCLA Gymnastics videos, has been opening up on her career, in particular, thanking the two people who made it all happen. Speaking to Marie Claire in 2019, the gymnast thanked her parents, saying:
“My parents made this huge sacrifice—they moved across the country, put their marriage on hold for me. When I think about it, I’m like, Wow, parents would do anything for you.”
She did however admit that gymnastics turned everything upside-down. See more photos below!
Katelyn, who counts fellow gymnasts Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney as kind of peers, confirmed that life as she knew it changed overnight with her career taking off. “My whole social life changed,” she continued.
“People would ask me, ‘Oh have you seen this movie?’ and I’m like, No, I didn’t have that portion of my life almost,” she added: “But I had a lot of other opportunities that other people didn’t.”
