Britney Spears‘ ex-husband Jason Alexander was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to reports, Jason was taken into custody last month in Nashville. He was booked on three misdemeanor charges including driving under the influence, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance. Jason reportedly refused to participate in a blood alcohol content test.
Britney infamously married Jason back in 2004 while partying in Vegas. The marriage lasted 55 hours and was quickly annulled by her parents.
Jason has been making headlines in the past couple of months. Last month, Britney’s ex was present for the attempted coup in Washington D.C. A photo was making the rounds on social media showing a man that looked like Jason posing in front of the crowd while wearing a beanie with 45 on it.
Before the protest, Jason was seen at a #FreeBritney event outside the Los Angeles Superior Court in August 2020. He traveled from Nashville to LA to speak out against the court-ordered conservatorship.
In other news, Britney’s social media manager is speaking out against accusations the singer doesn’t have access to her own accounts.
Cassie Petrey, who runs Britney’s Instagram, posted a lengthy statement shutting down the rumors. She said the singer makes her own decisions on what is posted.
Cassie said, “Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram. She finds the google images, Pinterest images, quotes, memes, and everything else herself.” She explained, “Nobody is suggesting any of that stuff to her. She generally edits the videos herself. “
Further, “If a video she sends in is edited by her social media team, it’s because she gave specific instructions and asked for it to be edited that way. Then she sees it and decides if she wants to post it or not.”
Earlier this week, Britney took on haters writing nasty comments underneath her videos on Instagram. The “Toxic” singer posted a video talking about people who criticize her videos. She told fans she makes dancing videos “for fun” and has no plans to change her way of life.
Britney wrote, “I’m trying to learn how to use technology in this technology-driven generation …. but to be totally honest with you I can’t stand it ??? !!!”
“So … if my posts aren’t perfect … I’m doing this for fun !!!!” she continued. Brit ended, “”If you think I should look like I’m on a magazine cover when I dance …. sorry ain’t happening ???? !!!!”
