Musicians often do the most for their songs and videos because they never want to be found wanting, but not delivering what their fans expect from them.
Apparently, Kenneth Brian Edmonds, also known as ‘baby face, ‘an American singer and song producer revealed a daring truth on Instagram during the “Verzuz Battles.”
According to him, American singer Madonna asked the “King Of Pop,” popular American singer Michael Jackson, to dress up as a girl for the music video of a single titled “In the Closet.”
This song was also the third single recorded on Jackson’s album “Dangerous.” It was released on April 9, 1992.

Asides from being a singer, Jackson was also a songwriter and dancer. He gained prominence when he popularized dance steps like “The Moon Walk,” and he still remains the most awarded artist in music history.
Jackson was born on August 29,1958 and sadly passed away on June 25, 2009. He released awesome albums, with “Thriller” being his most sold album of all time.
While Jackson was alive, there were various controversies surrounding him, ranging from child sexual abuse to rape, however, the truth behind them remains unknown.
Although he was charged to court severally, there were never any convictions.
Michael Jackson And Madonna’s Collaboration
Apparently, Madonna and Jackson planned a duet for his third single in the album “Dangerous,” however, the song was released as a solo with a music video that starred English model Naomi Campbell.
Madonna told Rolling Stone that Jackson asked her to write lyrics, which she did.
“I started writing words and getting ideas and stuff and I presented them to him and he didn’t like them.”
“I think all he wanted was a provocative title, and ultimately he didn’t want the content of the song to… sort of, live up to the title.” She said.
The ‘Queen Of Pop’
Madonna is an American singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman. She has also starred in films like “Desperately Seeking Susan,” “A League Of Their Own,” amongst others.
Madonna holds the record for best-selling female artiste in the world. Her best-selling albums include “Like A Virgin,” “Ray Of Light,” and more.
She was born on August 16, 1958, and her birth name is Madonna Louise Ciccone. Since her career took off, she has made many achievements, including getting listed by Billboard in 2020 as the greatest music video artist of all time.
She has also a Grammy for her 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” and is indeed the ‘Queen Of Pop.’
Michael Jackson’s Reaction To Madonna’s Request
Babyface disclosed that Jackson was not really pleased with Madonna’s suggestion to make him dress like a lady He said that in between songs, Jackson would tell him:
“Babyface, can you believe she wants me to dress like a girl? I’d never do that.”
Babyface also revealed that Jackson was very mad about the issue that he had to replace Madonna with Naomi Campbell and he released a solo instead of the perceived duet with Madonna.
