'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Star Kelly Dodd Fired Amid Scandal

By Ryan Naumann

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Kelly Dodd was fired from her job at the company Positive Beverages.

Over the weekend, the company made the announcement on social media. They told their customers they are cutting ties with the controversial reality star after her public remarks and nasty behavior during the reunion. Kelly has been working with the company for the past two years. It's unclear exactly what her title with the brand was but she constantly promoted it on the Bravo show.

Last week, Kelly was hawking the product on her social media despite the growing scandal surrounding her and her decisions.

Positive Beverage Head of Brand, Zach Muchnick, released a statement reading, "Our core values of wellness, community, diversity, and inclusion should be reflected by our brand and anyone associated with it. It has become clear over the past few months that Kelly’s controversial views and opinions have distracted from our primary objectives, so effective today, we are no longer affiliated with Kelly Dodd-Leventhal."

The CEO of the company said, "We welcome all people -- however they are and whatever they are passionate about -- to Positive Beverage."

She added, "But there must always be an underlying layer of respect. Unfortunately, we feel Kelly’s stance is no longer congruent with our core values. We appreciate her contributions during our affiliation, and she will always be a part of Positive Beverage’s history, but we do not align with her opinions or global views while we uphold our own values."

Kelly, who is usually outspoken and loves to fight with people, decided to respond in a low-key manner. She released a message saying she was cool with the decision but also took credit for their success.

The statement read, "I’m glad I could help put Positive Beverage on the map and wish them well. I’m also really excited about my next venture in the beauty industry, which is my real passion. Stay tuned!"

As The Blast previously reported, Fans of the show are calling for Kelly to be fired after she defended her friend's alleged racism, wore a "Drunk Wives Matter" hat, and spouted ignorant comments about the crisis.

At the time, Kelly said, "As the only minority on the cast who grew up actually experiencing racism first hand it’s a trigger for me when someone attempts to weaponize racism against me #RHOC."

Andy Cohen recently said he was done to reboot "Real Housewives of Orange County" with a new cast.
