Jessica Simpson knows all about a tuna scandal! The 40-year-old star took it way back, all the way to her infamous chicken or fish moment to defend sandwich giant Subway. The famous footlong chain is under fire after being accused of using “anything but tuna” in their tuna salad sandwiches.
The sub scandal made headlines after the company was sued earlier this month with allegations that “the filling in the products has no scintilla of tuna at all,” reported USA Today. Have no fear because Subway has Jessica Simpson on their side.
Hours after Subway fired back by releasing a statement denying the claims, the “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer fiercely defended the footlong chain and poked fun at herself. Reminiscing about her embarrassing “Chicken of the Sea” question to her then-husband Nick Lachey which was hilariously caught on camera in 2003.
