The clock’s ticking down until Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announce their divorce.
The couple’s marriage has been in shambles since last year, and at the beginning of 2021, reports say the two were ready to go their separate ways.
Although, neither side has filed for divorce yet, many feel it’s only a matter of time before an announcement is made.
Before the couple splits for good, they’re working on terms of their divorce, and Kim already has an exit plan in place.
Protecting Her Finances
As in all celebrity divorces, money is going to be a big issue.
Kim is worth $900 million, while Kanye’s net worth is reportedly anywhere from $1,3 billion to $3.2 billion.
With billions of dollars at stake, the two will have a lot to sort out. Part of Kim’s exit plan involves her meeting with financial advisors to protect her assets.
She doesn’t want it to be a nasty fight, and has worked out a plan to evenly split her and Kanye’s finances so everyone receives a fair deal.
As for custody of their four kids, Kim reportedly wants full custody, while Kanye is seeking joint custody.

The 40-year-old Skims founder is making preparations for her impending divorce.
Not only is she working on an exit plan, but she’s also hired famed attorney Laura Wessler to represent her.
Although all signs point to a split, so far Kim hasn’t filed for divorce and isn’t in any rush.
The “KUWTK” star knows her marriage is broken, and although a part of her wanted desperately to save their relationship, she and Kanye came to the conclusion that it’s best if they split up.
Final Straw For Kim
The couple faced many issues throughout their six-year marriage, but the summer of 2020 proved to be their breaking point.
After Kanye’s abortion comments and his Twitter rant accusing his wife of infidelity proved to be the final straw for Kim.
Kanye was going through a bipolar episode at the time, and Kim, who is usually supportive of her husband, reached her limit.
She’s done a lot for Kanye throughout their marriage, yet she feels he doesn’t do his part.
Kim reportedly has become fed up with her husband’s behavior, and is ready to call it quits. Her main priority moving forward is to focus on her and her kids.

Although, the latest reports say Kim is moving forward with her divorce Kanye, odds are they may not make it to court.
Rumors suggest that Kim’s friends are skeptical that a divorce will happen.
