‘A Star Is Born’
If you were a fan of Lady Gaga in Ridley Scott’s 2021 drama “House Of Gucci,” then you’ll love “A Star Is Born.” The 2018 drama features Cooper as Jackson Maine, a musician who falls in love with a struggling artist named Ally, played by Gaga. Unfortunately, as their careers go up, their relationship begins to break down.
The film has earned a 90% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 79%. One critic wrote, “What really works about this version is the fact that Bradley Cooper co-wrote it, he produced it and stars in it.”
Alison Herman of The Ringer, wrote, “Bradley Cooper’s 2018 rendition of ‘A Star Is Born’ manages the impossible: bringing this seemingly old-fashioned story about fame into the present while retaining its classical, timeless appeal.”
If you’re looking for a comedy, there is no better film than the 2009 comedy “The Hangover.” The film features an all-star cast of Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, and “The Masked Singer” judge Ken Jeong.
The first film tells the story of Doug and his three friends driving to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. However, when they wake up after a night of drunken debauchery, Doug is nowhere to be found. The friends must then retrace their steps and try to remember what happened so they can find Doug and get him to his wedding on time.
The film has a 78% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an audience score of 84%.
One critic wrote, “The director and his screenwriters have come up with the funniest film to appear in ages. It avoids the predictable crudity and silly laddishness (well, almost) you’d expect, and delights with zinging one-liners and charming performances.”
If you like the first one, don’t forget to check out the rest of the two films in the trilogy, which came out in 2011 and 2013, respectively.

The film has been widely regarded as a success, receiving three awards – including Best Film – from the National Board of Review. The film has been critically acclaimed, scoring a 91% fresh rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes while only scoring a 72% rating with audiences.
Mark Feeney of the Boston Globe wrote, “The things in ‘Licorice Pizza’ that are so good, like the performances from Haim and Hoffman and Cooper and the period fidelity, make you wish that the entire movie was just as good.”
Randy Myers of the San Jose Mercury News said that the film “is unlike most coming-of-age comedies, reflecting the good and the bad of the times without ever preaching. It’s filled with a sense of brutally honest nostalgia.”
