The reality star is now doing swipe-ups on her Instagram story with brands. Erika is most likely paid a couple of thousand dollars to post a series of videos for the company. She posted two clips of herself rolling around her home with a bag from a London-based company.
Erika put on a bright pink tracksuit to film the social media advertisement.
Last month, Erika also posted a giveaway on her Instagram. Her followers had to follow a bunch of other accounts to be entered to win a box full of expensive gifts. Erika was most likely paid by a social media company to post about the giveaway. These companies usually pay a reality star a couple of grand to promote the contest. It’s quick money but it’s also something Erika wasn’t doing as consistent in the past.
It looks like she is trying to stack some money as her life crumbles around her.
As The Blast previously reported, Erika and her estranged husband Thomas Girardi are facing accusations of embezzlement. They were named as defendants in a federal lawsuit brought by Thomas’s former clients.
Thomas represented the family members of plane crash victims. A settlement was won in a wrongful death suit that was brought by Erika’s husband. However, the families claim they were not paid out the entire settlement amount and believe Thomas used the money to fund his own “lavish lifestyle.”
Erika hasn’t said a single word about the situation. Instead, she continues posting glam shots on her social media. Her husband Thomas is reportedly suffering from short term memory loss. At least that’s what his brother Robert Girardi said in court documents. Thomas’s brother is trying to get a conservatorship over his finances.
Separately, Thomas’s creditors have forced him into Chapter 7 bankruptcy. A trustee was appointed by the court and they will take over control of all his finances. Also, the court-appointed official will seize assets in order to pay off his massive debts.
In the federal lawsuit, Erika was called out by the plaintiffs who believe she knew or should have known the money she received was ill-gotten.
The lawsuit documents stated, “By all accounts, Girardi keeps engaging in fraud and deception in order to support a never-ending spending spree by himself and Jayne. Girardi and Jayne lead notoriously lavish lifestyles. Erika reportedly spends $40,000 per month on her “look.” Erika even performs a song called “Exxpen$ive,” featuring the hook “it’s expensive to be me.”
Erika has yet to respond to the case in court.
