There has been no greater enigma or pull in the British monarchy than Diana, Princess of Wales, wife to Prince Charles and mother to the heirs of the throne, Prince William and the now abdicated-Prince Harry.
Her life, her struggles in a loveless marriage, her efforts to win over Charles, and her subsequent acceptance and decision to leave what she dubbed a loveless marriage have made her a continuing heroine.
And now the mantle to play her, onscreen, is being born by Kristen Stewart. Will she wear the crown well?
The Legacy Of Princess Di
A beautiful, graceful woman, such was the craze she incited that her new haircut angered Queen Elizabeth, not because of the cut itself, but because she introduced the cut on an important parliamentary day.
This is also the woman who decided to secretly prepare a dance for her husband, Prince Charles’s birthday, and performed on stage to Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” in front of a rapt audience, who could not click even a single snap of the occasion.
Her untimely death only cemented the love and affection people had for her, something the actors who play her find difficult to emulate.
Emma Corrin Is Pretty Cool Too
Actress Emma Corrin has been lauded for her role as Princess Diana in the Netflix series, “The Crown”, where she portrayed Diana from ages 16 to 28 saying that her job was to take to womanhood and so she did.
Most have found her interpretation of Diana pretty close to the real thing though Corrin is herself glad to have been done and over with the role that bought her fame and would rather now do something drastically different, like a “gritty independent film”.
Have to admit, the look is pretty similar…
And Now, It’s Kristen Stewart
