It’s been over three years since Migos last released an album. January 26th marked the three-year anniversary of their “Culture II” album. The Atlanta trio hasn’t put out any group projects since then as fans have anxiously been waiting to see when that would change. What has been in demand for them is to put out the third installment of the Culture series.
‘Culture III’ Trailer Is Finally Here
On Wednesday, Migos took to their social media feeds to put out a trailer which is now generating hype for “Culture III.” The group included visuals of them at their concerts along with recent current events such as protests against racism and police brutality. They also reflected why the delay was so long for this project to be released.
“The Process Of 3. Take Em Back To The Day To Day @migos Lifestyle. Take This Journey With Us! The Album Is Coming.”
Migos Explained Delay Of ‘Culture III’ And Process Of Recording Music During Pandemic
In the “Culture III” trailer, Migos gave fans a lot of answers. The group explained that the album was delayed due to a lot of their solo work that they released from 2018-2019. They also detailed how locked in they were in the studio when the COVID-19 pandemic first hit.
“We were absent for a reason though. How we were putting so much music out, you could flood the market,” Offset said. “There’s a lot of things going on right now. I ain’t never been so political in my life. I got my first time voting this year, and all that happens from seeing what’s going on in the world.”
“We been having time to bond with each other and time to spend, because our solo careers been allowing us to do different things,” Quavo added. “We got relationships, and we growing.”
Migos’ First ‘Culture’ Album Was Released In January 2017
In addition to “Culture 2,”‘s anniversary, the four-year anniversary for the first Culture album took place on January 27 as well. This is regarded as one of Migos‘ best projects to date and one of their most successful as well. Culture was led by the smash-hit single, “Bad & Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert. That record reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the album is currently 4x platinum in the US. It originally debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as well.
Quavo And Offset Have Been Making Headlines For Their Relationships Since 2017
Another reason that may have caused a delay in Culture III is the group’s love life. Offset began dating Cardi B in late 2017 ended up marrying her and having a girl with her. The two almost divorced last September but Cardi officially called it off in November. That came after the two shared a kiss in Las Vegas for Cardi’s birthday in October and Offset gifted her a $330,000 Rolls Royce then as well. Quavo has also been dating star rapper, Saweetie, for a few years now as well.
