Lil Nas X has been making a lot of noise lately with his “Holiday” single and has other huge endeavors outside of music happening now as well. The Atlanta native recently put out his children’s book, “C Is For Country.” This has done so well that he took to social media on Wednesday to reveal that it is now officially a New York Times Best-Seller.
“We hit new york times best seller list!!!” said Nax X on his Twitter feed. “I love y’all so f*ckin much.”
Nas X Said The Book Is For ‘Old Town Road’ Supporters
“‘C Is For Country’ goes out to every amazing kid out there who sang along to ‘Old Town Road’ on repeat and helped change my life forever,” said Lil Nas X regarding the book’s release and in the midst of the record continuing to go platinum over and over.
“I hope this book inspires them and makes learning the alphabet a thousand times more fun. I’m so happy with how it turned out, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
‘Old Town Road’ Recently Became Most Streamed Song Ever In US
Two years later, Nas X‘s 2019 breakout hit single, “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, continues to post epic statistics. The latest milestone was a few weeks ago when it became the most streamed song of all-time in the US. This was after accumulating over 2.933 billion on-demand streams. Old Town Road also became the highest-certified song in RIAA history as this month, it also reached 14x platinum status. This is after selling 14 million units in the US.
Nas X’s ‘Holiday’ Single Has Also Been Seeing Success
Nas X has continued to show that he is a hit maker as last month, he released his “Holiday” single just in time for the winter season. This record has been posting solid numbers as it peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. At this point, it has also reached gold status by the RIAA in the US. The music video for it on YouTube is at over 106,000,000 views and counting.
Nas X Planning To Release Debut Album This Year
The last project that fans received from Nas X was back in June 2019 with his “7” EP. This contained “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus as well as the original version. Other hits came from this EP with records such as “Panini” and “Rodeo” featuring Cardi B as well. Leading up to the release of “Holiday,” Nas X took a break from music and is now expected to finally put out his debut album in 2021. At last year’s Billboard Music Awards, he also said it would be the “greatest album of all-time.”
