Verzuz has created some amazing hit for hit battles between some of the greatest artists/producers to ever do it since April 2020. This helped music fans a lot when the COVID-19 pandemic first started.
Some of the greatest matchups that we’ve seen to date have been Teddy Riley-Babyface, Lil Jon-T-Pain, Ludacris-Nelly, Brandy-Monica, and Jeezy-Gucci. Ashanti-Keyshia Cole was solid last week as well and now, the question is which two stars will take the grand stage next in front of the world.
Timbaland Says Drake Wants To See Justin Timberlake Vs Usher
One who has a great idea for a Verzuz is Drake. Timbaland, the Co-Founder of Verzuz, recently appeared on ESPN’s “Jalen & Jacoby” with the platform’s other Co-Founder, Swizz Beatz. He revealed that Drake would really be into seeing Usher and Justin Timberlake. This is after Jalen Rose brought up that proposal.
“Justin Timberlake… yes, we know,” said Timbaland. “It’s so funny. Drake hit me up too about it. He said, ‘we gotta make that happen’. I’m like, ‘soon to come, soon to come.'”

Usher And Justin Timberlake Have Been Two Of The Greatest R&B/Pop Stars Of All-Time
Usher and Justin Timberlake have been favorites for many people ever since their childhood. Usher released his debut studio album, which was self-titled and sold 500,000 units. He really took things to the next level in his career with his sophomore album, “My Way.”
This project peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and is currently 6x platinum. For JT, he stormed onto the scene in 2002 with his debut album, “Justified.” This peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and stands at 3x platinum status now.
Usher And Timberlake Last Released Projects In 2018
It’s also been quite a while since fans have been able to get new albums from both Usher and JT. The last time this happened for them came back in 2018. Usher put out the collaborative album, “A” with super producer, Zaytoven. Timberlake released his “Man Of The Woods” album. “A” reached No. 31 on the Billboard 200 and was led by the “Peace Sign” single.
Appearances included Future and Gunna. Man On The Moon debuted at No. 1 and is currently gold in the US. Singles included “Supplies” and “Say Something” feat. Chris Stapleton.
Drake Recently Postponed Release Of ‘Certified Lover Boy’ Album
As for Drake and new music from him, fans were anticipating his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” to be released this month. That was the original plan for Drake as he said so on his birthday back in October.
The January release got pushed back last week as he took to his Instagram stories to reveal that he is focused on rehabbing after undergoing knee surgery last fall. The album is still expected to be out sometime this year, though.
