Gabby Petito’s legacy continues to lives on in the hearts of her loved ones.

This was her families’ first holiday without her present.

It was a hard holiday season to say the least, but despite the loss of their daughter, Joe Petito took time to honor his late daughter.

On December 25, Joe tweeted about his little girl writing, “Merry Christmas to my baby girl in heaven. I can’t call you, I can’t hear your voice, and I can’t hug you.”

His tweet continued, “What I can do is say we love and miss you. Damn, today is a hard day, but we will get through this together.”

He accompanied the tweet with a beautiful art piece of Gabby with her two younger siblings. She had blue butterfly wings adorned to her back.

Joe Petito also posted a video of himself sending lit up lanterns into the sky in honor of Gabby on New Year’s Eve.

He captioned the video, ““Happy New year Gabby. Keep touching the world. #HAPPYNEWYEAR2022 #gabbypetito.”

It’s clear Gabby’s story and her untimely passing have had a profound effect on not just those closest to her, but the entire world.
