The AFC Championship game took place on Sunday as it was between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were at home, and they dominated as they earned a 38-24 win and are heading to Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
This is their second straight Super Bowl appearance and are looking to repeat as champions. They are lead by arguably the best player in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes went on to be the Super Bowl MVP last season.
Trey Was Arrested At Arrowhead Stadium
Celebrities were also in attendance for the Chiefs‘ victory at Arrowhead Stadium as one of them was Trey Songz. The R&B star didn’t end up having a great time though as he got into it with a police officer, according to TMZ.
According to the outlet, the officer got physical first. Trey was able to throw a punch and get into a headlock but then was held down into his seat by the officer. The cause of this incident was reportedly due to Trey being heckled by fans.
Trey Booked On Multiple Charges
When the officer got to Trey, he supposedly got physical with the singer for no reason. Fans in the area emphasized that Trey defended himself in self-defense, though. More security soon arrived at the scene and ended up arresting Trey.
At this point though, TMZ has reported that Trey was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. These are both being classified as misdemeanors. Assaulting a police officer was also added on and is being listed as a low-grade felony. Trey will probably be released on Monday night due to a 24-hour hold.
Trey Released ‘Back Home’ Album Last Fall
This incident also comes after Trey released a very solid album in “Back Home” last fall. This served as Trey‘s sixth studio album and was led by hit singles such as “Back Home” featuring Summer Walker and “2020 Riots: How Many Times.” It peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 9 on the Billboard US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. There were other star-studded appearances by Swae Lee, Ty Dolla $ign, and Davido.
