The star of “Dance Moms” shared a special tribute to her former student on January 23. Miller was the tough but loving dance coach that pushed Siwa when she was little on the popular Lifetime reality show. She stated that she always knew that JoJo would spread joy to the world and congratulated the 17-year-old on speaking her truth.

Siwa was a proud member of the Abby Lee Dance Company and appeared on two seasons of “Dance Moms.” Her former dance instructor opened up about how she saw JoJo’s talent back then.
“I always knew the world would be a more colorful, positive, sparkly place with a kind, loving, dazzling triple threat like you in it,” Abby wrote about Jojo, “a shining example for the kids out there to live their BEST lives each and every day. *You put your heart on the platter! (If you know you know) Love you kiddo!!! Keep making me proud ?.”

Siwa was ecstatic about all the love and support she received after her big announcement but seemed to be moved by Abby’s post.
“Love you!!!” JoJo quickly commented.
Abby’s followers were also touched by the loving teacher dynamic and sounded off. “We love a supportive dance teacher,” one complimentary follower wrote, while another said, “Two of my absolute FAVES ? love you both so much!!!”
A few followers still haven’t forgotten how tough of a dance teacher Abby was. “I remember when you made her cry ?,” one fan commented.
JoJo came out in a very unique way on January 22. She first shared a TikTok video where she danced to the LBGTQ anthem, “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. The next morning, she made her announcement crystal clear by wearing a shirt that read, “BEST. GAY. COUSIN. EVER.” The shirt was obviously a gift from her cousin, whom she thanked.
“My cousin got me a new shirt,” JoJo tweeted. “Thanks for the shirt cousin.”
About 48 hours after her big announcement, Siwa checked back in with her fans and thanked them for all the love and support. She also answered some of their questions and revealed her parent’s reaction to the news.
“My mom said that she had known for the past two years,” JoJo said on Instagram live. “She’s like, ‘I just know with you.’ About two years ago she was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t think that you only like boys and that’s totally okay.'”
She also said her brother simply said, “Sick! Proud of you!”
