'RHOC' Star Kelly Dodd Ripped For Saying Braunwyn Is A 'Fake Alcoholic'

By Ryan Naumann

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Kelly Dodd is facing heat from fans after she accused Braunwyn Windham-Burke of faking her alcoholism for a storyline.

The accusation came out during part one of the reunion. Kelly got into a fight with Braunwyn telling her, "Let's just be honest real quick, your alcoholism was all for a story plan,"

In this season, Braunwyn struggled with getting sober after having issues with drinking. She achieved sobriety after attending AA meetings and seeking therapy.

Brauynwyn fired back at Kelly's statement. She brought up an incident where Kelly saw her drunk at BravoCon at 7 in the morning.

Kelly replied, "I've done that too. It doesn't make me an alcoholic." Braunwyn asked Kelly, "So wait, you think I'm a fake alcoholic?" Kelly told her "yes."

Braunwyn fired back, "F--- you. Do you know how dangerous this is to everyone in recovery right now?" Fans have been losing their mind after Kelly's statement and many want her fired.

One wrote, "I can’t believe your comments about questioning someone’s issue with alcoholism. Truly a low blow even for you. You may claim that you haven’t lost any followers - well that has now changed and I hope others will follow. Very irresponsible comments."

Another said, "Get her off my show!." A diehard fan expressed their frustration that no other cast member stood up for Braunwyn. They commented, "I truly wish there was a competent housewife on OC to shut her down I was legit screaming at the tv yesterday."

An angry Bravo watcher felt, "She needs to go! @RHOC_KellyDodd had no remorse for her actions. She is only tearing up thinking about not getting a BRAVO paycheck!"

One person was a bit more direct tweeting, "I fuc-ing hate Kelly Dodd."

As The Blast previously reported, during the reunion, Braunwyn also had a moment with Shannon Beador. Shannon brought up an incident where Braunwyn allegedly offered her then 14-year-old daughter Stella the "good stuff" with the implication being it was drugs.

Shannon told Andy Cohen, "John and I spent a lot of time with Sean and Braunwyn. Not this summer, but the summer before. I didn't know whether I was gonna say this today, but as a mother, I'm going to. When my daughter Stella was 14 years old, at her very first beach barbecue, you went up to her and said, Stella, 'If you want the good stuff, text me.'"

Braunwyn's response to the accusation will be shown at the start of part two of the reunion. She did address a fan on social media who asked about it. Braunwyn said, "I honestly have no idea, I was drinking all the time. I’ve heard from her what happened and made amends, I’ve since heard a very different version of what happened which isn’t at all what she said from someone I trust though.”
