Mark Cuban is a very successful businessman as he is known mostly for being the owner of the NBA‘s Dallas Mavericks. He’s turned them into a consistent playoff contender for over 20 years now and is one of the most respected names in sports and in the entrepreneurial world.
Cuban is also known to many sports fans for his appearances as a shark on the popular show, “Shark Tank,” where entrepreneurs are looking for investors for their businesses. Cuban invested in many of these people as well.
Cuban Discusses Presidential Run In 2024
Cuban explained that there are plenty of qualified candidates out right now but won’t run in 2024 unless he feels that he absolutely has to. Cuban met with the newly elected president, Joe Biden, before and is a fan of his for sure. Incumbent presidents don’t usually run against other candidates in their party in primaries either. Therefore, don’t be surprised to see Cuban not make a run.
Cuban’s Dallas Mavericks Won NBA Finals In 2011
Cuban has had some very good Dallas Mavericks teams over the years but came up short of an NBA championship. This is all while having superstars such as Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Steve Nash, and more. This all changed back in the summer of 2011, though.
Then, the Mavs ended up beating the heavily favorite Miami Heat in six games. That Miami squad was loaded as their big three featured future hall of famers in LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.
Cuban Looking To Win Another Title As He Has A New Superstar In Luka Doncic
Cuban has more championship aspirations as he has another superstar in Luka Doncic. The Slovenian native is currently averaging 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists per game. The Mavs also stand at 7-7 and No. 7 in the Western Conference.
Last year, the team took the Los Angeles Clippers to six games in the first round of the NBA playoffs. These playoffs were conducted in a “bubble” in Orlando at the Disney campus due to COVID-19 concerns that summer.
Cuban Is Currently Assessing When To Bring Fans Back To America Airlines Center
In many NBA arenas, fans still aren’t permitted due to COVID-19 concerns. Thankfully though, some have brought back fans in a limited capacity basis. Seats are spread out and masks are required for entry as well.
Cuban currently is not allowing fans at American Airlines Center in Dallas but hopefully, that will change soon. Texas‘ economy has mostly been reopened since the summer as has most of the south since then. When Mavs some fans are allowed back, the arena is definitely sure to be full of energy as usual.
