Week after the “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast member revealed she’s a lesbian and confirmed her new relationship with girlfriend Kris as Sean was spotted by a new woman of his own, an insider told the outlet that the couple, who shares seven children with one another, is “allowed to date people.”
“[They] are happy!” the source added.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Supports Her Husband Dating
Speaking to the magazine herself, Braunwyn said that when it comes to Sean’s love life, she’s not opposed to him seeing other women.
“Dating someone and falling in love and starting a new life are two very different things,” she explained. “If Sean dated someone, that’s great. I support that. I think he should be.”
Although Sean stepped out with one specific woman in Orange County recently, Braunwyn downplayed their potential romance, saying that while Sean has been on dates, “nothing serious” is happening.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Would Be Hurt If Sean Burke Started A New Life
“That’s not heartbreaking. That’s OK,” Braunwyn continued of Sean’s relationship with another woman.
As for the potential for Sean to fall in love with the woman he was recently seen with, or someone else, Braunwyn admitted that it would be hard to see her husband have such a deep connection with someone else, and to see him “starting a new life.”
“I think that just means that I have a heart, you know,” she shared. “I think anyone in our positions can know that things are going to have to change, but it doesn’t mean it’s not hard.”
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Is Closer To Sean Burke Than Anyone Else
According to Braunwyn, she and Sean are staying quite close to one another, even as they date other people.
“We’ve been together 26 years. We’ve been together since we were children,” she explained. “And I think that people kind of forget that it’s not just that we’re married, we’ve been together since we were kids. We are family. We are each other’s people. We are closer to each other than anyone else.”
Continuing to speak of Sean potentially fall in love, Braunwyn asked, “Would that hurt?”
“I’m not talking about losing the marriage, I’m talking about losing my best friend, my person that’s been with me since I was 18. So yes, I would be heartbroken,” she replied.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Wants Husband Sean Burke To Be Happy
“Does that say that I don’t want to be happy? Of course, I do. I think it would be weird if I wasn’t heartbroken if my husband of 26 years fell in love with someone else,” she explained.
