Jennifer Lopez delivered a powerful performance of “This Land Is Your Land” and “America The Beautiful” at the inauguration of President Joe Biden on January 20. The songstress sang her heart out but she couldn’t help but slip in a little taste from her hit song, “Let’s Get Loud!”
The 51-year-old singer followed a fantastic performance of the National Anthem by Lady Gaga but JLo made her presence known with her stunning Suffragette-white outfit and a message to all the Spanish-speaking Americans.

Lopez sang both songs back to back while transitioning between them beautifully. As “America The Beautiful” was winding down, JLo busted out with a special message in Spanish (“one nation, with liberty and justice for all”). Immediately after, she hit the high note while singing one line of “Let’s Get Loud.”
She closed out her performance by blowing a kiss to the cameras and shared a special moment with newly inaugurated Vice President Kamala Harris. She looked as beautiful as ever and handled the moment gracefully.

The grandeur of the moment wasn’t lost on the star, who has performed on some of the biggest stages in the world. Her fiance, Alex Rodriquez, appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” a few nights before and revealed that she was a lot less nervous when she performed at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
“What’s interesting is she’s most nervous about Washington D.C. because of the responsibility,” he said. “She wants more than anything, like all of us, to bring people together, to inspire. Music and sports does that better than anything.”

A-Rod happily accompanied JLo to the inauguration and was one of the few people allowed to be there in person. Due to the pandemic, attendance was limited to around a thousand people and he was proud to be one.
“It’s more than a concert or performance for her music, this is a moment in history that she’ll always be part of and he’s honored to be standing by her side throughout this journey,” HL’s source said at the time.
