Lady Gaga Gives 'Pope Vibes' Praying For USA At Capitol

Lady Gaga, after campaigning untiringly for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, will now be headlining his inauguration later in the day today. And to kickstart the entire process, she posted a picture from the Capitol, in what seems to be a look from the Pope, if he starred in Star Wars and was female. Gaga also seemed to be doing her best impression of the word "grave", as in serious. 

Instagram is here for it, and her, although much like what happened at the Capitol earlier this month, there are some trolls baying for blood as well. Here's the down-low... 

Make-Up? Nah, Fans Want Sour Candy

When Gaga is not promoting music, she's all about make-up, or should we say, her own make-up, from Haus Labs. 

And she does look good in her purple hair, matching with that rug with a burst of color on her lips and eyes, although all her fans seemed to want from her, from this post at least, was the video to her latest song, "Sour Candy".

With some 45.7 million followers, that could be quite a clamor for new music. Meanwhile, Gaga kept on posing...

It's All For Joe

Gaga is also kicked about being on Biden's inaugural, and wrote, "I am deeply honored to be joining @BidenInaugural on January 20 to sing the National Anthem and celebrate the historic inauguration of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris! 💙"

Fans went gaga as well, literally, one writing, "Congratulations! This is such a historic moment, but please be safe! Love you".

Another comment read, "Being served twice for the national anthem is a dream" while yet another fan wrote, "Be safe mama. We are rooting for all of you, the safety of our people, and our democracy ❤️❤️ 💙 💙💙🏳️‍🌈".

So here's Gaga, in Princess Leia braids, and dressed rather ceremonially in white, writing, "I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol 🇺🇸".

As one fan shouted it right, "POPE OF THE GAYS!" while called her "Virgin Mary of Chromatica".

For other fans, it was more "Let the hunger games begin gurl" while one even called her "Princess Slaya".

More comparisons were quick to follow with comments like, "Serving ancient Jedi style 💗" and "Pope Francis? I don’t even know her."

More wrote, "I pray for peace and help during this presidency. It is going to be a hard, liberal and crazy 4 years. Waiting for better days #2024".

Meanwhile, the cynics were in full force as well as one comment read, "We have a guy who’s voted for every war and crime bill in the last 47 years getting sworn in, so..."

But Gaga doesn't care and has her hand in the air...
