Rapper Lil’ Wayne is reportedly on the list to receive a pardon from Donald Trump, and it should be coming in the last few days of his Presidency.
The ‘Lollipop’ rapper is one of between 50 and 100 persons expected commutations and pardons to be issued in the next 48 hours. The announcement is set to be made public in one large batch on Tuesday, with a few to be following on Wednesday morning.
As we reported, many believe Lil’ Wayne and Kodak Black deserved to be included in the group after both musicians were convicted of crimes involving firearms.

According to reports, there was a meeting inside of the White Houe on Sunday afternoon to finalize the growing list of pardons. Trump is not expected to issue a pardon for himself, or any members of his family, Fox News reported. Also, despite an aggressive campaign by WikiLeaks to get a pardon for its founder, Julian Assange, the president is not expected to add him to the list.
As we reported, Lil’ Wayne pleaded guilty late last year in a Florida federal court for illegally possessing a loaded, gold-plated handgun while flying on his private jet. At the time, Wayne’s bag reportedly contained small amounts of ecstasy, cocaine, and oxycodone.

Interestingly, Lil’ Wayne appeared to endorse Donald Trump late in his campaign for re-election, including posing for a photo with him inside of the Whitehouse.
“Just had a great meeting with (Donald Trump.) Besides what he’s done so far with criminal justice reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” Wayne captioned a picture of them together.

The pardons come on the days leading up to President-Elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, which is being plagued by the possibility of violence in the nation’s capital. According to reports, Donald Trump will not be in attendance to hand over the reins to Biden, something that hasn’t happened for many, many years.
Lil’ Wayne has had a rough week of his own, after reportedly breaking up with his girlfriend, Denise Bidot, for the second time in the past few months. The first time around, it was reported Denise left the relationship due to Wayne’s association with Trump.
