Bethenny Frankel appeared on an episode of Tamron Hall‘s daytime talk show last week and during the episode, she opened up about her decision to leave her full-time role on “The Real Housewives of New York City” before gushing over 10-year-old daughter, Bryn Casey Hoppy.
“When I signed on to the ‘Housewives,’ the contract said $7,250 for the entire season,” Bethenny revealed on the January 14 episode of “The Tamron Hall Show.”
According to Bethenny, she signed onto appear on the Bravo reality series for the exposure, not for the money.

“I wasn’t looking at the money because you can’t always look at the money, you have to look at the big picture, the other opportunities, you have to look at the whole board, not just the pieces, and the money was just the pieces,” Bethenny explained.
Bethenny went on to say that after years of starring on the series, she became the highest paid housewife in the entire franchise.
“I ended up being the highest paid ‘Housewife’ when I left because I had leverage and I left [in 2010] and the ratings were affected,” she recalled.
Bethenny Frankel Didn’t Leave ‘RHONY’ In 2019 For More Money
After Bethenny briefly left the show year ago, producers contacted her and wanted her back, likely in hopes of regaining the viewership they had when she was on.
“They wanted me to come back. And when I did ultimately leave this last time [in 2019], people thought I was leaving because I wasn’t getting more money, and I was leaving because I was staying because of the money,” she shared.
Bethenny announced her second departure from “The Real Housewives of New York City” in August 2019.

“She’s my love, she’s my quarantine, my quaran-dream and this is what’s most important. So that’s why the buckets have to be full because it has to be worth it to take yourself away from your family,” Bethenny said of her time with her only child. “And kids define you and make you spend your time in a more quality way.”

“She is very strong in her opinion but she is very free. She’s free to be you and me. She’s an artist, she will go to school in pink hair, tie-dye and high tops. She doesn’t care what people think. She’s a leader, she’s very artistic. She sketches and paints for hours, she’s very patient,” Bethenny added.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” is expected to return to Bravo sometime later this year for season 13 but a premiere date has not yet been announced.
