Model Jordyn Woods is “praying” for a fast recovery for her basketball player boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns who was recently diagnosed with COVID-19. The 25-year-old took to her Instagram Story this weekend to thank her fans for their support after her man revealed his diagnosis.
“I just wanted to thank you for all of your support, prayers and concern, she wrote. Woods went on to share that she is feeling fine. “My family and I all got tested for COVID and the results came back negative so we are all good but continue to pray for Karl for a speedy recovery.”
Devastating News
This came as devastating news to Woods and Towns who has lost 7 family members to the coronavirus including his mother Jaqueline Towns, 59.
The actress also wrote a super special message to the NBA player “Be strong @karltowns. You’re a true fighter this is not fair or right that you were put in this position when you were just trying to do your job. You got this,” she wrote rounding her message our with the heart and praying hands emoji.
Jordyn’s Sweet Message
Woods also made sure to show love and support to her man on Twitter as well. She penned a genuine message that says, “Praying for you babe. I know you’re going to pull through. God’s got you and so does your most powerful guardian Angel up there…you’re one of the strongest people I know.”
Woods seemed to be making reference to Town’s mom and her untimely passing. The athlete first shared news of his positive diagnosis earlier in the week after taking one the NBA’s routine tests.

Karl Shared His Diagnosis Earlier This Week
“Prior to tonight’s game, I received yet another awful call that I tested positive for COVID. I will immediately isolate and follow every protocol,” he wrote in a statement shared on his social media pages. “I pray every day that this nightmare virus will subside and I beg everyone to continue to take it seriously by taking all of the necessary precautions. We cannot stop the spread of this virus alone.” Thankfully, Towns has the support of his family and friends and his girlfriend, Woods.
The Couple Is Official
The couple first confirmed dating rumors back in September 2020 when they were seen spending time together while Woods celebrated her birthday in Mexico. However, don’t be fooled, The last several months have been a trying time for Towns who shared an emotional video on his YouTube channel detailing his mother’s loss and the loss of several other family members to the coronavirus. The athlete pleaded with those who would listen to stay safe and stay home if it is not necessary for you to be out.
