Justin Timberlake has just joined the growing list of A-list stars who will be joining President-elect Joe Biden as he is inaugurated in Washington, and the singer will be performing his new song, ‘Better Days.’
The former N’SYNC frontman announced the special invitation on Instagram, along with sharing a behind the scenes video of himself in the studio creating the record. Timberlake says he is pumped about performing for the big event and hopes the song will encourage everyone to keep working for a keep “towards a better, more equal future.”

“A few months ago, during lockdown, @antclemons and I wrote a song together called BETTER DAYS. (I actually recorded my final vocals for this song on election night…)” he began.
He continued, “This past year brought a lot of frustration, grief, anger — and there were times when it was easy to feel powerless. This song was our way of doing what little we could to encourage everyone to stay hopeful… and keep working towards a better, more equal future. I’m very honored to announce we will be performing this song on January 20th for the Presidential Inauguration.”

“We have a long way to go to fix, undo, and rebuild this country… but I hope now, despite the past four years, we are on our way. #Inauguration2021,” he concluded.
According to reports, the inauguration will feature a 90-minute special hosted by Tom Hanks called ‘Celebrating America,’ and it will feature performances by Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, and Timberlake.
The ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ singer stopped by the Today show and discussed what an honor it was to be asked to join the inauguration — saying, “I got the phone call to be asked (to perform at the inauguration), and I was just like, ‘Uh, yes!’”
“There’s a song that I wrote with a new artist who was just nominated for a Grammy, Ant Clemons, and we wrote a song called ‘Better Days.’ We’re going to be performing it at the inauguration. So incredibly excited. What an honor,” Timberlake told Today.
Adding, “I’m very excited.”
As you can imagine, ‘Better Days’ is all about looking forward to better days and features lyrics like, “Oh, I know that there’ll be better days / Oh, that sunshine ’bout to come my way / May we never ever shed another tear for today / ‘Cause oh, I know that there’ll be better days.”
The event is scheduled for January 20th.
