The conservative commentator spoke to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. During the episode, Meghan was asked about her tumultuous return to the show after being gone on maternity leave for several months.
Andy said viewers had, “So many questions wanting to know what’s going on at “The View.” He mentioned her little tiff with Joy where her cohost said she didn’t miss her when she was gone.

Meghan said, “I had a really hard time getting back to work. I thought I would be back by the election. So just like that process of getting back was a lot and then this week back, with just the show the way it is and obviously, everything going on in the country and the horrible, horrific attack on our Capitol, it’s just been a lot.”
She added, “And I will say, I missed everyone. Even if some people didn’t miss me, I missed the show. We’re a family. All these women were at my dad’s funeral.”

She said, “We’ve been through a lot of shit together and I miss being on the show and I hope that we can all be examples, myself included, for where the country should go forward.”
Earlier this week, Daily Mail spoke to sources who claimed Meghan was nervous about being fired from the show after ratings improved when she was gone.
The source also spoke about producers blaming technical difficulties for the spat between Meghan and Whoopi. They said, the excuse was “bullsh-t.” They claim Whoopi was “pissed that Meghan wouldn’t shut up when it was time for her to wrap the segment.”
The source added, “Here’s the other truth. The View did better ratings with Meghan being gone. She realizes that she doesn’t have the job security that she once did. All of that has her shook.”
One fan sided with Whoopi after the fight commenting, “Whoopi, like me, is completely fed up with that bitter ass @MeghanMcCain . McConnell has packed the courts for the last four years. We’re outraged by that. GA turned Blue heart @TheView.”
