Nearly one year after she shockingly revealed she would not be appearing on the Bravo reality show’s 15th season, Tamra spoke to Danny about her decision to move on, as well as how she felt she was treated amid her departure and her reasoning behind her decision to opt out of a “friend” role.
Tamra Judge Would Like A Clean-Break From ‘RHOC’
Looking back on her transition off of the show, Tamra admitting that it’s been a little difficult for her to move on.
“I was telling Eddie just yesterday, ‘I just one day want to wake up and not think about the Real Housewives, talk about the Real Housewives, be reminded of the Real Housewives, think about the last 12 years of my life,’ It has been not the easiest transition because it was a huge part of my life for 12 years. I think mostly how it was handled was the hardest for me,” she explained.
Tamra Judge Didn’t Like The Way Her Full-Time Role Came To An End
According to Tamra, she felt disrespected by those working behind the scenes.
“It was like, ‘Wow.’ I just felt like I didn’t get a whole lot of respect after giving so much for 12 years,” she noted, adding that she’s “good now.”
Tamra went on to say that she isn’t the only former housewife who didn’t like the way in which their time with Bravo came to an end. However, she didn’t name any names when it came to the topic and said she remains on good terms with Andy Cohen.
Tamra Judge Still Loves Bravo And Andy Cohen
As “RHOC” fans well know, Tamra opted to leave the cast in January of last year after being offered a three-episode arch.
“There’s definitely other Housewives that didn’t like how it was handled. I don’t want to b*tch and complain. I love Bravo. I love Andy. Andy and I have a great relationship but you just, I don’t know, you’d think you’d have a little more respect or certain people would reach out and say, ‘Thank you so much.’ There’s not too many people in the Housewives franchise that have been on as long as Vicki and I. So it wasn’t the way I expected it,” she shared.
Tamra Judge Never Wanted To Be A ‘Friend’ On ‘RHOC’
Tamra also revealed to Danny that when it came to her “RHOC” offer to become a “friend,” she always knew that was not something she’d be open to.
“I had said it publicly after what Vicki went through with being a friend, I’m like, ‘Hell no.’ After seeing what she went through. And she was used in all most every single episode. And I always said, if it got to the point where I was ‘friend’ status, I’m done. I’ve had a long run. It was a great run. I’m happy it happened. I’m either all in or all out. And it just didn’t make sense,” she explained.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 15 is currently airing on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
