Back in early November, breakout Chicago rapper, King Von, was tragically shot and killed while he was in Atlanta

A shootout had occurred outside of Monaco Hookah Lounge in the downtown area. This went on to be between his crew and Quando Rondo's who is a native of Savannah, GA. Footage displayed Von throwing the first punch and then everything was a disaster and a war zone from that point. Von was taken to a nearby hospital but sadly wasn't able to hold on.

Von Reportedly Began To Live In Atlanta At The Time

A new interview has surfaced that Von did with XXL as well. One of the topics was why Von was in Atlanta at the time as he began living there. The Chicago rapper cited how he lived 50 minutes from the city and was in a quiet area. His close friend and fellow Chicago rapper, Lil Durk, also recommended it to him.

"This was where Durk was at. Durk picked it. It’s the only place I had to go other than Chicago, so I came out here with him. I see Chicago often. I go out there, so nah, I don’t miss it. It’s right there."

Von Was Planning To Write A Book About His Life

In this interview with XXL, Von also detailed how he wanted to write a tell-all book about himself. He coincidentally added that he would've wanted it to be released after he died. Von originally wrote at book at nine-years-old for a school project. 

"I’m going to show you all one day. I want to write a book for sure. I just don’t know what it’s about, though. I think I got to write a tell-all book and just release it when I die."

Von Released His Debut Album One Week Before His Death

A week before Von's tragic murder, he was making a lot of noise on social media for his debut studio album, "Welcome To O'Block." The title pays homage to the area of Chicago that he grew up in. This project ended up being a huge success as it originally debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. After Von passed, it peaked at No. 5 a week later. The album had 16 songs with appearances from Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, Dreezy, and more.

Von Continues To Receive A Lot Of Love From Ex-Girlfriend, Asian Doll, Online

Prior to Von's passing, he had dated Dallas rapper, Asian Doll. The two broke up at the end of the summer but it definitely seemed that Doll still had a lot of love for Von. When he died, she posted a lot of tributes to her Instagram feed and still does to this day as her name on the app is "Queen Von." 

Doll even went on to get Von's face tattooed on her hand. She originally pondered on the idea of putting it on her face but her fans were not feeling that much. Doll even went on to gift Von's children $7,000 for Christmas.
