Meghan McCain Reportedly Worried About Being Fired From 'The View' After Whoopi Fight

By Ryan Naumann

Meghan McCain is reportedly concerned about the security of her job as co-host of "The View" after getting into it with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg last week.

According to Daily Mail, sources close to the situation tell the outlet Meghan is feeling insecure about her spot on the ABC talk show.

Meghan returned from maternity leave last week and things got off to a rocky start. She immediately got into a tiff with Joy. It all started during a Hot Topics debate. Whoopi asked her cohosts if they believed Americans should get rid of the two-party political system.

Joy started talking about how she believes the Republicans should just continue eating themselves alive. She said they had much more internal issues going on at the moment than the Democrats.

Meghan didn't agree with this position and interrupted Joy's answer which didn't end well. John McCain's daughter pointed to AOC and other progressive members of the Democratic party.

She asked Joy, 'Are you kidding me. You have people like AOC.” Joy didn’t like being cut off shouting, “Excuse me, I’m not done.”

Meghan fired back, “Joy you missed me so much when I was on maternity leave – you missed fighting with me.”

Joy told Meghan she did not miss her at all. She said into the camera, "I did not. I did not miss you. Zero."

Meghan was upset with the comment calling it "nasty." The next day Meghan got into a showdown with Whoopi during an interview with Reverend Raphael Warnock.

At the end of the interview, Meghan asked the Senator-elect a question but didn't appreciate the answer. After he finished answering, Meghan said, "Senator, I understand that. I’m just asking you a direct question." Whoopi tried to cut off Meghan from speaking after hearing her tone.

Meghan tried to jump in again but Whoopi quickly shut that down.

At the end of the episode, a producer from the show came out to claim the moment was caused by technical difficulties. Fans were not convinced by the excuse.

A source told Daily Mail the excuse was "bullsh-t." They claim Whoopi was "pissed that Meghan wouldn't shut up when it was time for her to wrap the segment.

They added, "Here's the other truth. The View did better ratings with Meghan being gone. She realizes that she doesn't have the job security that she once did. All of that has her shook."
