As The Blast previously reported, Erika and Thomas are named defendants in a federal lawsuit brought by the families of plane crash victims. They believe Thomas used money owed to them from a settlement to fund his "lavish lifestyle."

Earlier this year, Erika filed for divorce from Thomas after 21 years of marriage. She is currently demanding the court award her spousal support to cover her monthly expenses. She reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement before getting hitched.

Thomas responded to the divorce asking the judge to terminate Erika's right to support. He believes she is entitled to nothing. It's unclear if there is anything to divide given the numerous lawsuits over debts filed against Thomas and his law firm.

According to reports, Erika has moved out of the $15 million Pasadena mansion she lived in with Thomas. She is reportedly shacked up in a $1 million Hollywood condo.

Recently, the judge presiding over the federal lawsuit found Thomas in contempt of court. They were furious with his inability to explain where millions of his client's money were located. The case was referred to prosecutors for a possible criminal investigation.

To make matters worse, Thomas's creditors forced him into Chapter 7 involuntary bankruptcy. They accused him of owing millions and refusing to pay his debts. The court signed off on the case and appointed a trustee. The trustee will now take control of Thomas's finances and sell off assets to pay back the money owed.
