Miley Cyrus Loses Pitbull Mix Mary Jane After A Year-Long Cancer Battle

Miley Cyrus recently opened up about the death of her young and beautiful black pitbull-mix, known as Mary Jane. The singer and performer took to her Instagram page to share awesome pictures of them together, while she was still alive.

According to the Instagram post, Mary Jane had been battling a type pf aggressive cancer for over a year, until she passed away.

Losing a dog is like losing a companion, whom you talk to and do almost everything with, except for the fact that you're human and it's not. Dogs are a very essential part of a human's life and our hearts go out to Cyrus.

The Special Dog

Cyrus revealed via her post again, the precious final moments she shared with her friend Jane. 

She mentioned that she continued to thank her for being a huge part of her life and for staying by her side all these years. 

The “Wrecking Ball” singer went on to say that even as Jane took her final breaths, all she could think about, was how she was more than a dog, but a family member.

She was indeed thankful for the moments they shared and would cherish it for the rest of her life. 

The Rescue Dog That Lived Ten Years

Usually, a rescue dog comes with some complications, as they may have already contracted a virus or dealing with a sickness, but people decide to take them in and nurture them till they pass away. 

This was the case with Cyrus' Mary Jane. She was a rescue dog when the 28-year-old her in to care and nurture her. 

The singer revealed in her tribute post to the dog that she was told by the rescue shelter, to “spend every second savoring her special spirit.” And that was what she did for ten years.

Dogs bless their owners with the kind of friendship and loyalty that is not easily found in the world today. Although they're animals, they have a sense of duty to their owners and always want to be by their side or be with them, to love and protect them. 

In essence, dogs share a great deal of love and compassion with their owners, which makes it very painful, when they decide to leave. 

“She lived by the golden rule of kindness and compassion toward all. She was strong when she needed to be but never for too long,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram.

Fans who follow the “Midnight Sky” singer's social media page, are not strangers to the fact that she lives in a home filled with pets. Although the death of her pitbull-mix is still lingering, the singer has a lot of pets to help her get through the pain. 

According to Popsugar Cyrus lived with 13 amazing pets, while she was still married to Liam Hemsworth. However, now that Jane is gone and Hemsworth is out of the love story, the singer is now left with 9 pets. 

It's unclear if she plans to replace her pit-bull mix, but any pet would definitely be welcome to the pack
