Lindsay Arnold RESPONDS To Critics Slamming Her For Taking A Newborn On Vacation

"Dancing With The Stars" pro Lindsay Arnold has been on the receiving end of some serious flack from social media users over sharing photos of her, husband Sam Cusick, and her newborn baby daughter, Sage, on vacation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although vacationing is strongly discouraged as is, fans found particular issue in Arnold toting her newborn along with her, knowing the risks of contracting COVID-19 apply to virtually everyone. 

After the flare up, Arnold decided to respond to critics through her Instagram story, standing her ground on why she took the trip with her baby.

In the story post, Arnold chose a more passive response to critics who slammed her choice to vacation with the baby knowing the risks involved.

"This is my thumbs up to everyone out there who actually thinks it’s OK to comment or criticize anyone else’s parenting," she said at the time. "Why? Why do we do this to others? Especially people we don’t know," Arnold, 26, asked. "I am FAR from perfect -- believe me, you don’t need to remind me of that -- but why don’t we use our energy and words to be encouraging, instead of always looking for the negative and finding things to criticize?" 

In another plea bid, Arnold explained that she was "over" the treatment people were giving her for her choice, and instructed those unhappy with her to simply unfollow her on the platform instead of spewing hate.

"'I'm very over it," she continued. "So if that’s what you want to do on Instagram, please unfollow me and leave my kind and loving followers alone."

Arnold has been very open about life as a new mother through various social media posts leading up to this day, but her most recent candid admission seemingly led to these criticisms.

Following that post, the professional dancer went on in a subsequent slide to add a special thank you to positive fans in her comments, commending "all the nice people who send encouraging words."

"Please pass it on," she added. "Let's just be positive and kind to everyone."

These recent admissions about the scandal of her taking a newborn on vacation come only days after Arnold drove fans wild for another reason, posing in a solo steamy bikini pic which was posted to the same Instagram page.

"Vacation time ☀️ Instagram husband/dad of the year goes to Sam who is mine and Sage's personal photographer for this trip ?," Arnold captioned the steamy sunset snap of her in a two piece black bikini overlooking the ocean.

Former "So You Think You Can Dance" star Brooklyn Calvert was seen in the comments gloating about her friend's body, writing, "Especially after baby oh my heck ?."

Costar and professional dancer Jenna Johnson chimed in with some positivity too, adding, "You are glowing mama!!!!!!! ????."
