Dr. Dre is currently in the intensive care unit after reportedly suffering a brain aneurysm. TMZ reports that the 55-year-old Aftermath Entertainment CEO was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday, January 4. According to the outlet, the N.W.A. rapper is currently “stable and lucid” but his doctors have not figured out what caused the bleeding.
Dr. Dre’s health scare came just one day before his estranged wife, Nicole Young, exposed the former couple’s extravagant monthly spending habits.
While Dr. Dre is reportedly still undergoing tests in ICU, Nicole Young filed new documents in their ongoing divorce. According to her accountant, her estranged husband has $262 million available in cash and Apple stock, which they point out is more than enough to pay for her attorneys’ fees and spousal support.
As The Blast reported, Nicole Young shocked everyone by asking for a whopping $2 million per month in spousal support. She also asked for an astronomical amount for her legal team.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Nicole Young asked a judge to make Dr. Dre pay $5 million in fees for “attorneys and professionals” working with her on their divorce. Revealing their rumored spending habits came in retaliation after Dr. Dre claimed he didn’t have enough cash to support his estranged wife.
Nicole Young’s team claims the former duo’s marital living expenses were $2.3 million per MONTH. She also alleges they spent more than $245 million in the past three years!
The documents also claim while they spent a crazy amount of money, their available cash increased by $26 MILLION. Their argument is that Dr. Dre has more than enough available cash to support Nicole Young through the divorce process and still “maintain the status quo” of their lavish lifestyle.
According to reports, Dr. Dre is currently paying $293,306 a month to his estranged wife in support. She also notes he’s funding the lifestyle of multiple girlfriends. Dr. Dre and Nicole Young married in 1996. She filed for divorce in June 2020.
