Chelsea Houska will be seen announcing her departure from “Teen Mom 2” to her co-stars during part one of the season 10 reunion special tonight and in a sneak peek at the upcoming episode shared by PEOPLE magazine, fans are learning more about her exit, as well as how her castmates felt when they first learned the shocking news.
“So this is going to be my final season, my final reunion,” Chelsea revealed during the virtual taping. “And it is definitely bittersweet. And it’s weird that the last one is here like this, and we’re not all together.”

“I feel like, just watching this last season, I was getting a bad feeling in my stomach. It just feels like it’s just time to close the chapter. And I’m almost 30, I’m having my fourth baby — it just feels like the right time,” Chelsea explained.
As fans well know, Chelsea is currently pregnant with her third child with husband Cole DeBoer. The couple currently shares son Watson, 3, and daughter Layne, 2, and Chelsea is also mom to 11-year-old Aubree, whose father is her ex-boyfriend, Adam Lind.
Briana DeJesus And Leah Messer Weigh In
Following the sharing of Chelsea’s news, Briana DeJesus told her castmate, “More power to you. Good luck on your journey with you and your family. I wish you nothing but the best.”
Meanwhile, Leah Messer admitted she “wasn’t necessarily expecting” Chelsea’s exit from “Teen Mom 2.”
“It’s sad. It’s definitely bittersweet, but I think that Chelsea and her family get to make the best decision for their family at the end of the day and I wish them nothing but the best.”
Jade Cline Was Surprised To Hear Of Chelsea Houska’s Exit From MTV
Jade Cline, who was brought to the series after the exit of Jenelle Evans, said she was “really surprised” to hear that Chelsea wouldn’t be a part of further seasons.
“Honestly, I didn’t like, expect it, especially since she’s having a new baby and stuff. It seemed like there was a lot of stuff going on, but I totally understand wanting to step back from the reality TV world,” Jade stated.
As for Kailyn Lowry, she suggested she knew of Chelsea’s decision to part ways with MTV before it was announced on the show.

“I’m not entirely shocked, just because I do talk to Chelsea pretty often, so we’ve had conversations here and there. But, you know, I definitely told Chelsea, ‘This is obviously the right decision for you if you feel like there’s a weight lifted off your shoulders,'” Kailyn said.
Kailyn then added that while it is “going to be a little bit weird of a dynamic without her because we’ve been doing this together for 10 years,” she’s excited for Chelsea’s next chapter.
