A video of Cardi B posted on social media has been going viral over the last few days. This was of her turning up to her "WAP" single featuring Megan Thee Stallion

Her daughter, Kulture, suddenly walked into the room and that's when Cardi scrambled to stop the song to prevent Kulture from hearing the lyrics. Many wondered at that point why she did so when the world already heard it and others understood why she did so as a mother.

Cardi Says She Doesn't Make Music For Kids

Cardi has taken to Twitter to address the video amid the debates. She emphasized that her music isn't for children and just for adults, as evident from her music over the last four years.

"Ya needs to stop with this already ! I’m not jojosiwa ! I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults.Parents are responsible on what their children listen too or see.I I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be."

Cardi Also Emphasized That People Don't Do Sexual Things Around Their Children

In addition to Cardi explaining why she doesn't play WAP around Kulture, she also noted how people who embrace sexual activities such as strippers and others who twerk don't do what they do around children. Cardi also doesn't want this topic to be a debate as she believes that this should be known by everyone at this point.

"There’s moms who are strippers.Pop pussy ,twerk all night for entertainment does that mean they do it around their kids ? No! Stop makin this a debate. Its pretty much common sense."

'WAP' Dominated The Second Half Of 2020

Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion arguably had the biggest hit record of 2020.

Cardi released "WAP" with Megan Thee Stallion in August 2020 and from that point, it took off. The music video also went viral on social media as it included cameos from Kylie Jenner, Mulatto, Normani, and more. The single debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the next week and did so again after BTS' "Dynamite" went on to claim the spot for two weeks.

As of now, WAP is certified 3x platinum in the US. It was also controversial to many people due to the sexual content, particularly to Republicans.

WAP Was Not Submitted By Cardi For Grammy Considerations

Cardi B is holding off on submitting WAP for awards.

Surprisingly, Cardi did not submit WAP to be considered for the GRAMMYs that take place this month. This was reportedly due to her wanting to release her sophomore album first and then making that move. There is no official release date or title for Cardi's forthcoming but many expect it to be out sometime this year. She did say recently on Twitter that she may fly some fans in out February to hear the album. That leads many to believe that it will be completed by then.
