Meghan King Edmonds has gotten back into the world of dating after splitting from her former boyfriend of six months, Christian Schauf, at the end of last year.
During an interview with Us Weekly magazine on January 1, the former “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast member and ex-wife of MLB star Jim Edmonds revealed that after settling into her new home in St. Louis with her three kids, daughter Aspen, 4, and twin sons Hayes and Hart, 2, she is back on the hunt to find love.

“I was kind of dating, but then the [coronavirus] pandemic hit when I was starting to date… Then I’m dating in St. Louis, and that is a little bit more awkward,” Meghan admitted.
Meghan went public with her romance with Christian last spring and proceeded to spend tons of time with him in Utah, where he owns a business.
Meghan even brought her kids to the area as they got to know her then-boyfriend.
Now, as she attempts to find love amid the pandemic, she’s experiencing new challenges.
Meghan King Edmonds Is Trying To Balance Dating With Her Life As A Mom
“When the guy comes to the front door, I’m like, ‘Ok, do you come to the front door? Or do I allow you to be a gentleman, or do I hide my kids? Do I wait until they’re already asleep? How does this work?'” Meghan wondered, noting that she’s doing her best to “balance” her dating life with her life at home with Aspen, Hayes, and Hart.
Although Meghan said she’s “going to try to shield” her kids to a point, she doesn’t want to be dishonest about dating.
Meghan King Edmonds Doesn’t Want To Be Dishonest With Her Kids
“But also, a part of me says, ‘Look, this is Mommy’s life.’ I’m not going to have just a revolving door and make that a priority, my number one priority in my life. I feel like to hide it from my children is hiding a part of what they are experiencing, even peripherally, as part of their reality. I don’t want to do that either,” she continued.
So, for now, Meghan is trying “a little bit of sheltering and a little bit of introducing” her potential partners.
Meghan King Edmonds Doesn’t Want Her Daughter To Think She’s Leaving Her For A Boy
Meghan went on to explain how she’s portraying her “dates” to her daughter.
“I’ve started telling my daughter I’m going on dates when I go out with my girlfriends too, so that she doesn’t think of going on a date is just I’m leaving her for a boy. I want her to think I’m just going out at night with a friend,” she shared.
The 15th season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is currently airing on Bravo on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.
