Willow Smith, once again, showed off her guitar girls skills… and she can really shred!
The “Female Energy” singer made her metal mama proud on Saturday. Willow shared a video of her shredding a hardcore metal rift from the 2005 song, “Slave No More” by Crowbar. Her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, is most likely thrilled that Wilow has taken an interest in a genre of music that she is famous for. The musical talent runs deep in the Smith household!

Willow clearly has a passion for anything she can play on her seven-string guitar. The cool instrument was a birthday gift from her grandma, Adrienne Banfield Norris and Willow is definitely getting the hang of it.
“<2021> is calling for waayyy more practices with a metronome ?,” Willow joked in the caption of her post.
Her sick video earned the praise of some of her famous friends.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to music taste! Willow clearly got her love for the harder stuff from Jada. It’s a little-known fact that Pinkett-Smith was the lead singer of the heavy metal band, Wicked Wisdom in the early 2000s. They aren’t together anymore but their music is still appreciated in the metal-loving parts of South America. Their biggest gig was performing at Ozzfest in 2005.
Smith showed her deep knowledge of the famous metal bands that came before her when she played and sang some classic Deftones songs. Willow and her two-piece band expertly played “My Own Summer (Shove It).” Smith’s version is unmistakenly recognizable but she always adds her own style when she jams.
The constant guitar teasing has caused her fans to demand a full metal album from the young star.
“Please make a rock album pleassssse ???,” a hopeful fan asked.
We too have our fingers crossed for a hardcore album!
