Selma Blair is focused on cleaning house for 2021, in more ways than one. The “Cruel Intentions” star took to Instagram on New Year’s Day to set her intentions about remaining light and focused, and the steps she plans on taking to accomplish her goals. The revelation for cleansing herself of so much “stuff” comes after Selma Blair shared her feelings over having a quiet holiday season at home, like much of the world, without seeing many of her family and friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although it was a bleak Christmas for the actress, she’s focused on a bright new future and is letting fans in on her plan for action.
“I am home. Cleaning. Cleaning all the time. Giving things away to people who could use them,” Blair captioned a stunning shot of herself zipping up a black and white bodysuit while lit from behind by the sun.
She continued with a question: “Why do I have so much stuff? I can’t stop cleaning because… I want to be lighter. I want the fog to lift.”
Blair went on to explain that with so much chaos in the world, she wants to be responsible for the things that she is able to control.
“I want things in their place. Order. In my space. So I can make smarter choices. Big picture. Like I am in training. I will get strong again. Because someone may need me. Stronger. And so it begins. Suit up. Show up. Simply. Without so much “stuff”. Present. Listen.”
She then asked fans, “What is your goal?”
Selma Blair may be cleansing herself of all the things she doesn’t need, but she’s still holding on to the things near and dear to her heart. One of these things, she shared recently on the 4-year anniversary of the death of legendary “Star Wars” actress, Carrie Fisher.
“Otherworldly. Carrie Fisher . She was. She is. To her fans and friends… we reaped the benefits of her life. I hug you,” Blair wrote while showing a Princess Leia ornament on her Christmas tree.
She added, “To Billie, her daughter , now a mom I hear, the wit and hugs and always Christmas tree will live on. And so much more. The more is how much she really worshipped the ground you walk on. Deservedly so ✨ All love…A moment of glitter. The new year is coming. Make it a lot of glitter. Some Carrie glitter.”
