Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins created a firestorm of controversy after an expletive-filled rant directed at a teenage teammate while playing Valorant. Trailing 0-6 at the start of a ranked match on Haven, Ninja exploded on ‘POLO,’ the Reyna on his team.
Ninja’s facecam blocked the view of the chat, but the wildly popular streamer quickly became irritated and rifled off a stream of insults. It began with, “POLO, shut up, and ratcheted up with several expletives after the young teammate said he didn’t care about losing in ranked play.
Ninja Tells Teen He’s ‘Awful’ And To Quit Valorant
Ninja continued unloading on POLO, telling him to stop, “talking to the enemy team.” He advised POLO to quit playing Valorant because you’re “awful at it,” while lobbing more colorful language in his teammate’s direction.
When POLO told Ninja that he was “talking to a 17-year-old,” the mega-Twitch star doubled down, saying “I don’t care if you’re 12! Oh my God, dude.” Ninja became increasingly irritated during the exchange, annoyed at his teammate continually getting picked off early in rounds.
Ninja’s Teammate: ‘I Don’t Care What Your Net Worth Is’
POLO refused to back down in his own expletive-filled response, telling Ninja he didn’t care “who you are.” The 29-year-old Ninja returned to Twitch in an exclusive deal in September after signing a multi-year deal with Mixer reportedly worth between $20-30 million.
Ninja, who has more than 15 million Twitch followers, was estimated to have earned $17 million in 2019 by Forbes and has major sponsorship deals with Adidas and Red Bull. Apparently unimpressed, POLO fired back, “I don’t give a “f***” what your net worth is. You’re not gonna tell somebody to shut (up).”
