SZA Fans Wait For Collaboration With The Weeknd After Success Of 'Good Days' Single

On Christmas, SZAreleased her anticipated "Good Days" single. This is after hinting to fans on Twitter that it would be out before 2021 arrived. 

Following its release, the reaction was very positive as listeners believe that it exceeded expectations. They also loved the cover art for the song as it SZA during her childhood. Her forehead read "Good Days." 

Now, she has revealed that a huge single is in the works and that is with another fellow superstar in The Weeknd. 

A Twitter user with The Weeknd's "After Hours" album cover art originally asked SZA when she will be working with Weeknd. She then replied "We be talkin bout dat." That immediately sparked excitement on the app as fans pondered on when this release will actually happen. 

This isn't the first time that SZA and The Weeknd worked together as in early 2019, they released their "Power Is Power" song which also included Travis Scott. This was made for the "Game Of Thrones" series. 

This fall, SZA also put out her "Hit Different" single feat. Ty Dolla $ign. This went on to peak at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is regarded as one of the best R&B records of 2020. 

Following that release, anticipation began to grow regarding when SZA will finally put out her sophomore album. Her debut album, "Ctrl," came in June 2017 as that debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and currently stands at 2x platinum status in the US.

The Weeknd has been epic this year and it all started with his momentum from the end of 2019. Then, he released his "Blinding Lights" and "Heartless" singles that November. Both went on to each reach the top spot on the Hot 100. They also appeared on his fourth studio album, "After Hours," which was released in March 2020. That project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum almost a month into its release.

When the 2021 Grammy nominations were revealed in late November, there was some very surprising news and that was that The Weeknd didn't receive any nominations. He went on to call the awards show "corrupt" and explained how he and his fans deserve transparency. 

There were also reports of speculation that he didn't get invited or nominated due to conflicting performances for the GRAMMYs and the Super Bowl in the span of a week. That still hasn't been confirmed yet, though.
