The Jay comments came during the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game Podcast” and now, more information is surfacing from this interview. Thug is now saying that the only Verzuz battle he would want to participate in is vs Lil Wayne. Many began to question this proposal by fans as a lot see Wayne as a legend.
Thug Cites Influence As Reason For Wanting Verzuz With Lil Wayne
Many music critics as well as fans of Thug believe that he is worthy of being in a Verzuz but doing one with Wayne is a matchup that he cannot compete in. This is due to Wayne’s music catalog as well as being regarded as one of the best rappers to ever do it.
Fans Wait On Wayne’s Response
As of now, Wayne still hasn’t issued a response to Thug’s request to be on Verzuz together. A response may not even come though as Wayne still hasn’t addressed whether he’d be down to be in a Verzuz in general. Him doing so is in high demand though as fans continue to ponder on what would be the best matchup for him. The consensus is that it would have to be another hip-hop legend such as Eminem or Jay Z.
Wayne Has Been Very Consistent With Music Releases In 2020
Wayne has been one of the most dominant rappers of the year and it all started in late January. That’s when he released his 13th studio album, “Funeral” This was led by the “I Do It” single feat. Big Sean and Lil Baby. The project went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
This fall, he finally put the first “No Ceilings” mixtape from 2009 on all streaming platforms. Last month, Wayne released “No Ceilings 3” with DJ Khaled and put out “Side B” for it this month as well.
Thug Has Been Featured On Two Huge Records This Fall
Thug has been in high demand to put out hot singles as we’ve heard him on two big ones over the last few months. One was “Don’t Stop” which went on to appear on Megan Thee Stallion‘s debut studio album, “Good News.” The other was Travis Scott‘s “Franchise” which also included M.I.A. The music video was also premiered in IMAX theaters around the United States.
Thug’s last album was back in August 2019 with his “So Much Fun” project which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
