Actress Rebel Wilson is already in 2022!
The “Pitch Perfect” actress is already celebrating the New Year from Australia, where she stunned fans in a long-sleeve glittering golden dress while holding a glass of what appears to be champagne.
“Start the New Year off strong!” she captioned the pic. “HAPPY NEW YEAR you legends, love from downunder!”
Many fans and friends took a moment to celebrate the new year with her, showering her page with comments of “Happy New Year! Here we come 2022!”
The actress definitely has a lot to look forward to in the coming year!
Rebel Wilson Is Taking On A New Challenge In 2022!
During a look back at her highlights of 2021, Wilson revealed what she has in store for her in 2022. Wilson is going to co-direct her first-ever movie, called “Girl Group,” which she is also writing and producing.
“Up next is the challenge of co-directing my first movie, GIRL GROUP, which I’ve also written and am producing,” Wilson shared. “We’re currently getting a world class team together for that baby with Lionsgate. It’s massive and musical and hopefully will fill that PITCH PERFECT space that I know you guys love and miss!”
She also mentioned that “It was also a huge honor to be named in BBC’s list of Top 100 Women for the year amongst absolutely extraordinary women.”
Rebel Wilson Had A Pretty Great 2021!
During her highlights reel, Wilson took back at her different projects before saying “Peace out for 2021.”
“It started in LA with POOCH PERFECT for ABC – bringing me back to my roots of growing up in a dog showing family and selling dog products out of a yellow caravan at dog shows,” she shared. “Thank you to everyone who was a part of this experimental, sentimental, inclusive show that celebrated dogs and the people who love them.”
“THEN it was off to the UK to film THE ALMOND & THE SEAHORSE with a dream cast of European actors and where I play a very different role to what you guys are used to seeing me in…” she continued. “I’m so excited to get back to dramatic acting with this film about traumatic brain injury and showing you guys even more of my serious side in the future.”
“The UK is my ancestral home and I always feel at home there and love working there with all the brilliantly talented artists who I adore and respect,” she added.
“THEN I journeyed to Atlanta to film SENIOR YEAR, the huge cheerleading comedy for Netflix which is coming 2022 to spread so much cheer and heart,” she continued. “I’m so proud of my talented cast and crew on this one – it’s such a funny and heartwarming movie that I’m pumped to share with you!”
“THEN I left to Rebel Island to celebrate my belated 40th birthday, which was literally the best week of my entire life,” she shared. “You have to celebrate – life is short and you just have to love and live it.”
“Speaking of love, thank you everyone for being on this epic year with me!” she concluded. “I love you guys. You know how I’ve been theming my years for the past few years? Well this year was The Year of The Rainbow… after the storm always comes the rainbow.”
