Singer Michelle Branch Reveals She Suffered A Heartbreaking Miscarriage

"And to further twist a dagger in my heart, I experienced my first miscarriage (ugh! Motherf---er!) But alas, between the crying and binge eating of Christmas cookies, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress. We drank champagne alllll day," she continued.

Michelle shared a series of photos from the family's holiday celebration, alongside the lengthy message about the situation. In the photos, she included on with her son Rhys James, who she and Patrick Carney welcomed in 2018.

Branch continued, "Made an incredible meal and sang Christmas songs snuggled up by a roaring fire. 5 more days until 2021. I’m limping to the finish line. These people, my precious family, my husband, sister and kids have been the MVP’s. I couldn’t imagine spending a year isolated with anyone else. Happy Christmas, everyone."

Fans flooded Michelle's Instagram to send messages of support and get well soon. "💔💔 😞sending you guys so much," one fan posted. Another added, "Sending so much love your way and a fucking amazing 2021 to make up for this s--t year ❤️."

Several of the singer's fans who have endured such a terrible tragedy, sent her tips on healing from the loss. "Take good care of yourself as you heal. Motherwort tea or infusion can be so beneficial after pregnancy loss," a fan posted.

Another reminded Branch she was such an important person in their lives and thanked her for sharing the information.

"Michelle Branch is the reason I picked up a guitar at about age 14. We are the same age. I wanted to be just like her even though I was this scrawny, nerdy black boy. She came to Summerfest in Milwaukee in like 2018 or 2019. It was pouring rain but I went anyway. It was pretty much a dream come true. I'm forever grateful for her inspiration for me to play music. It changed my life. She is still an incredible talent. I hope to thank her in person someday.😊❤🎸🎄☃️,' one message read.
