Jessica Simpson has literally been caught with her pants down – that’s what happens when you “thought” the photo was getting snapped from the waist-up. The 40-year-old actress, singer, and “Open Book” author turned her Christmas Day Instagram update into a hilarious one, showing off her ribbed Xmas pajamas, staggering 100-pound weight loss, and what’s one massive thigh gap. On Friday, the “Dukes of Hazzard” star proved she’s 2020’s photo fail queen – in the best possible way, though. Check it out below.
Scroll for the snap. It comes as Jessica spends Christmas 2020 with husband Eric Decker, plus her three kids Ace, Maxwell, and 2019-born Birdie Mae. While a mommy-and-me photo with 8-year-old Maxwell stayed traditional – Jessica and her daughter were adorably hugging in twinning PJs by the tree, one snap went #offbeat.
The photo, taken by former NFL player Eric, showed Jessica in her wood-floor hallway and laughing while standing in super-cute and festive onesie PJs, plus a matching hat and red pair of pants – that were pulled down below Jessica’s knees.
Jessica, who gets full props for posting the shot for her 5.6 million Instagram followers, took to her caption, writing: “So I thought Eric was taking a photo from the waist up…”
“Caught with your pants down! Total hubby move,” a popular reply read, although the most-liked comment threw 2020’s COVID mess into it as the fan wrote:
“For some reason, this picture makes sense this year lol.”
The thighs are getting noticed, though – “Jessica, how do you get your thighs so fit? All of you really but…,” one fan wrote.
Jessica, who shed her 100 pounds in just six months after welcoming third baby Birdie Mae, just can’t get the comments section to shut up. “I need your diet and exercise plan. ASAP,” one follower wrote – if you’re wondering what that diet plan was, it got dished by trainer Harley Pasternak.
“She would eat one whole egg and three egg whites for breakfast, scrambled with a bowl of blackberries. For lunch she would have a salad with grilled chicken and grilled fish with salad and vegetables for dinner,” he told Hollywood Life.

2021 will be one busy year for Jessica, whose 2020 wasn’t exactly dull as she released best-selling memoir “Open Book.” Shortly before Christmas, Jessica announced that she’d inked a massive multimedia deal with Amazon to bring her twenties to the screen via a series, with the Jessica Simpson Style founder confirming it would be:
“A new intimate unscripted docuseries with music as a key component and 2 essays where I will share my soul and perspective while holding your heart close to mine.”
